Events and Fundraisers
Special events and activities represent a major portion of The Diabetes Foundation of Mississippi's overall fundraising. Because of the fundraising activities, the Diabetes Foundation is able to provide lifesaving medicine for needy patients with no health insurance, education and support to individuals, families, and communities, community health screenings, camps for children with diabetes and their families, and advocacy to protect the rights of those with this disease.
Likewise, every dollar raised stays in Mississippi to provide life-saving medical supplies and services to the 372,000 Mississippians with diabetes - from our children to our seniors. Please see the calendar below for scheduled events and fundraisers.

Chicot Challenge
Zane Hodge of Greenwood, MS will swim 16 miles from Lake Chicot State Park to Lake Chicot County Park at Lake Village, Arkansas to raise awareness of and provide funds for combating diabetes.
